Manifesto

Film is an art form, it is the canvas of the directors imagination. The director is the artist who has a vision of what he wants to shoot in the film. He knows what will make us cry, and he knows what will make us laugh. He knows the feelings he wants to express through his film. The camera is the tools that he uses to recreate what is being played in his mind. He plays with our emotions planing how he wants us to feel. He focuses through the lens as if they were his own eyes. He films the subjects and guides them onto the scenes which play continuously in his head. And his purpose to making the film is to exploit his ideas and invade our imagination, controlling our feelings and taking us into his world.

The audience is saturated with ideas from the directors vision. Watching a film takes the audience into different worlds they have never seen before, they are seeing through eyes that don't belong to them. When they watch a film, their minds should be intrigued to follow along the story. Imagination is sparked and ignited with ideas, inspired to take the story and make it their own. Placing themselves into the story the audience is able to continue it through their own imagination. It is from there that the story can evolve and become reborn. What was once a point of view becomes a new beginning and reaches a different conclusion through another.
