Idea # 1

A attempt to see a mind breaking down but in real time. A guy walks up to a door in the night preparing to pick up his date for the evening. Most would agree meeting a girl or guy for the first time is nerve racking, so I would like to simulate his break down on her door step. He walks up to the door and looks cool and calm. He knocks on the door and waits for her to come. During this time I want to have the film jump around showing him in different positions of how nervous he really is. In one scene he is is pacing, in another he is checking to see if his breath is fresh. A funny scene will be of him actually crying against the wall. Then the door opens and he is standing there cool and calm on the outside once again. He greets the girl and they go off on their date.

New Movie Idea!

Cain's voice is heard from a black screen.
Dialog: How real can dreams become? If you can touch and feel... what separates the dream from reality. Who is in control once your in a dream... you.. or is there someone else your unaware of controlling you?

Scene 1

Shot 1: Abel sits in a living room starring at an abject. He looks amazed about this new trinket. He leans over it and touches it quickly then lets it go.

Shot 2: Angle camera to the right side allowing more wall.
Cain creates a strong shadow against the wall as he enters the room.
Abel looks up (suddenly then smiles)

Abel Line: “Hey Cain, Check out what I have.”

Shot 3: Cain walks in from the door way. Camera fixed from Abel's position, looking up from the object.

Cain Line: “What is this?”

Shot 4: Finishes Cain's entrance as he sits down beside Abel. Cain studies the object as Abel starts to explain.

Abel Line: I found this at that old Antique shop, you know? The one on Cooper St.
(Cain nods) The old man there said that who ever touched it would instantly see their past lives.

Abel acts excited.

Cain in disbelief stops Abel.

Cain Line: “Dude stop for a minute... Are you high?”

Cain leans in to see Abel's eyes.

Abel Line: “Man Cain! I'm not high, just try it! It's awesome!”

Shot 5: Cain looks down at the object. Camera angel shoots upward from object to Cain's face.

Shot 6: Camera is now over Cain's shoulder showing him reaching for the object.

Cain Line: “If this is some prank...”

Abel Line: “It's not!”

Shot 7: Close up of Cain's hand wrapping around the object.

Sound effect....

Shot 8: Close up of Cain's eyes as they grow wide in surprise.

Shot 9: This shot cuts into the flash back of Cain's past life. H is shown a short moment in time where he becomes a psychotic psychopath. He is dressed in old fashioned clothing that appear to be from the 18th century. Cain laughs insanely, as he hacks a pieces some poor soul. Blood staining his white ruffled shirt. Hands reaching up towards him for protection.

Camera angle in this shot looking up at Cain. Camera eye becomes the victim's eyes looking up at him. Hands wave from the side, blood dripping down the arms.

Shot to be done in black and white
edges give off a white fade, creating a soft picture.

Shot 10: Close up on Cain's eyes as they return back to normal size again. His eyes then shift towards Abel becoming focused again.

Shot 11: Frontal view of Cain and Abel. Cain looks down and slowly moves his hand off the object. Abel looks for his reaction.

Abel Line: “So? What did you see?”

Cain looks up and answers...

Cain Line: “Nothing man... It didn't work...”

Abel looks down at the object disappointed, wondering why it didn't work on Cain.

Abel Line: “That's Odd...”

Cain's voice lightens as he speaks to Abel...

Cain Line: “Hey uh.. Listen man you got a package today. I think its your new xbox game. I put it on your bed”

Abel Answers excitedly.

Abel Line: “Really! Sweet! Lets go check it out.”

Cain Line: “ Right behind you man.”

Abel stands and walks out of the shot Cain shifts his body and reaches behind him, pulling out a knife, holding it in his fist tightly. He gets up and follows Abel off the screen, his eyes fixed on Abel still.

Shot 12: Black screen and Abel screaming can be heard.

Shot 13: Cain raises quickly out of bed, gasping for breath. His hands rub his face as he recovers from having a nightmare. As Cain recovers he notices something that feel from his blanket. A bloody knife rolls from the sheets causing Cain to jump back slightly. Cain then looks down at his bloody clothing and hands.

Shot 14: Black screen and Cain screaming this time.

Plans and Ideas

*I want to incorporate the earthy tones I gather from the forest and the camp site, When I think back to my childhood I can remember the tonal range based on neutral shades of browns, greens, oranges, and yellows.

*Use of photos as still images in the film that fade out into the actual real time scene.

*Soundtrack back ground as the character is in thought, remembering her childhood

*Fade from picture to scene

Photos that relate to my idea

Videos to use for Reference

Hide and Seek

* I like the voice over and the framing used to make this look and feel like a old memory

A Girl's Memory

* I love the erie fading memory feel of this short film

Response to Kenneth Anger – Scorpio Rising

When watching this I saw scenes that I may be recognizing a movie a friend showed me a few years back. Regrettably I never finished the film because it was subtitled and I didnt feel like taking the time to pay attention to the story through reading that night. But I did get a chance to see the fight scenes which was fascinating to my friend. The scenes where fire was in the back ground were the same from the movie he showed me. I love when people use cut scenes from movies and other films to create music videos. This one fits pretty well with Tony Jaa's movements, especially in the end.
